Determine if:

the organization defines personnel or roles to be alerted when the unauthorized installation of software is detected; and

cm-11(1)[2]

the information system alerts organization-defined personnel or roles when the unauthorized installation of software is detected.

potential assessment methods and objects:

Examine: [select from: Configuration management policy; procedures addressing user installed software; configuration management plan; security plan; information system design documentation; information system configuration settings and associated documentation;  information system audit records; other relevant documents or records].
